Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, calibrate, and maintain test platforms for optoelectronic chip performance (quantum efficiency, dynamic range, MTF, etc.)
- Operate and maintain optoelectronic test equipment (e.g., spectrometers, optical power meters, illuminance meters, light sources, oscilloscopes) to ensure test platform stability and accuracy
- Optimize test procedures to improve test efficiency and accuracy
- Support the full test process for chip development projects, including testability analysis for key metrics, platform setup, competitive analysis, tuning, and closed-loop optimization
- Analyze and process test data, identify performance deviations and anomalies, and prepare test reports
- Collaborate with design, optics, algorithms, and mass production teams to locate and resolve optoelectronic performance issues encountered during product development
- Organize and maintain test documentation, including test records, reports, and equipment maintenance logs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in optical engineering, electronics, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in image sensor or optoelectronic chip performance testing and characterization, with proven experience leading complex test projects or building test systems
- Proficient in image sensor performance parameters and their physical significance (e.g., QE, SNR, DR, PRNU, dark current, FWC, etc.)
- Deep understanding of international standards related to optoelectronic testing (e.g., EMVA 1288, ISO 15739, ISO 12233)
- Familiar with semiconductor physics and the working principles of CMOS image sensors
- Skilled in using and programming test instruments such as light sources, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and illuminance meters
- Knowledgeable in the use and selection of optical components such as filters, neutral density filters, and polarizers
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues, with robust data analysis capabilities
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical reports and data conclusions clearly and accurately
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in camera image quality (IQ) evaluation and tuning
- Experience developing complete automated test frameworks using Python/C++/Matlab
- Familiarity with image testing methods and environments such as Imatest and DxO
